What truly
differentiates QSR when speed is no longer special?

In a recent article for Restaurant Dive, Lotte van Uum, FutureBrand’s Creative Director
of Spatial Design, argues that the next wave of QSR growth won’t come from
efficiency alone - but from designing spaces and rituals that create
genuine connection.

She points to a
widening gap between convenience and loyalty: while “quick, quick, quick”
formats drive transactions, they rarely build meaningful attachment. As she
notes, moving beyond one-design-fits-all and introducing hyperlocal cues,
sensory detail and small service rituals can turn an operational format into a
cultural hotspot.

Her piece reflects a
broader shift across QSR where brands rethink how space, service and storytelling
combine to create experiences that people actively choose - not just pass
through.

Tap the circle to enable Accessibility Mode

Accessibility mode:

Making a website accessible is crucial to provide equal access and equal opportunities to people with diverse abilities. In today's digital age, the web has become an essential resource in various aspects of life, such as education, employment, commerce, healthcare, and recreation. By designing and developing websites that are accessible to people with disabilities, we create a more inclusive online environment.

When activated, accessibility mode will enable certain features, including pausing auto-played video content, increasing contrast, and updating the site navigation bar for easier visibility.
