The Changing Face of Tech

In an interview with CNN, Jon Tipple our Chief Strategy Officer, Worldwide discusses what he calls the ‘confidence crisis’ of the tech sector. He explains that whilst technology is always changing which makes it incredibly exciting, the FutureBrand Index has seen the tech giants start to falter and fall down the ranking with a shadow being cast over their long-term future.

This lack of confidence can affect usage and profitability, but greater concerns have surfaced over whether technology brands and their innovations are genuinely changing people’s lives for the better. This is in comparison to healthcare companies, which in general score highly and are seen as incredibly positive. For some companies in the tech space this creates a degree of uncertainty but it also provides a huge opportunity for new brands in different sectors to bring something new and potentially quite interesting into technology.
