New leadership team for FutureBrand Dubai

FutureBrand has promoted Lana Bdeir to Managing Director and Johan Engelbrecht to Managing Creative Director of FutureBrand Dubai.

Bdeir and Engelbrecht will be jointly responsible for the overall running of the Dubai operation and will continue to grow the business and work in close partnership with clients in the region.

Since joining FutureBrand in October 2010 Bdeir has drastically diversified the portfolio of clients and penetrated new markets like Egypt, Lebanon and Africa. Before that she spent time at the Brand Union in Dubai working on clients in the financial services and real estate sectors and at Dragon in London working on their Middle East based clients. Lana holds a masters in design management from New York’s Pratt Institute. She says: “I am very excited about this opportunity. FutureBrand is a great company that strongly believes in its people and brings out the best in them. It is inspiring to see one of the fundamental traits of success; encouraging and nourishing a true spirit of entrepreneurship in its people. I am honored to be given this opportunity and hope to be able to take this region to new heights.”

Johan has been with the company for just over a year and in that time has built the creative team and put in place the overall creative vision for the region. In his 15 years in the industry he has worked on clients such as Castrol, Etihad and Standard Chartered and more recently at FutureBrand he is leading creative assignments for Government of Dubai, Majid al Futtaim and Hero Baby in Egypt. He says of his new role: “FutureBrand is an exciting company that has the ability to genuinely partner with clients. I am happy to be in the position where we can build our office and offer something truly unique.”
