FutureBrand bolsters its North American team with three substantial new hires
FutureBrand, one of the leading global brand consultancies, strengthens its team with the appointment of three senior hires to lead its North American business. Jim Lowell, Daniel Rosentreter and Sven Seger take the roles of Chief Growth Officer, Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Creative Officer respectively. They bring with them a rich combination of experience in leading complex assignments with consumer and corporate brands in the U.S. and around the world.
The team is responsible for further development and expansion of the company’s North American business. Their focus is to provide a full spectrum of services, including research, brand strategy, naming, visual identity and design, brand experience and brand innovation for Fortune 1000 clients. The three will share responsibility for running the North American operations in New York.
Patrick Smith, the newly appointed Chief Executive Worldwide, stated, “There is tremendous value in our brand, and we are working with some of the most renowned companies around the world. My aim is to aggressively build on this value and customer base by attracting the best people in the industry and investing in the brand innovation side of our offer. With the recent North American appointments, we’re doing just that.”
Lowell expressed his thoughts on the team’s goals, “I’m looking forward to working with Patrick, Sven, Daniel and the talented people of FutureBrand to find new and creative ways to grow…better and not just bigger.” He has led marketing and sales pursuits across a range of industries, including telecommunications, banking and brokerage, healthcare, diversified industrials and non-profits. Lowell was previously Senior Vice President and Director of Business Development at Siegel+Gale for 10 years. He has more than 20 years experience in professional services, branding and telecommunications companies.
Rosentreter noted, “Joining FutureBrand is a privilege. The firm has always been at the cutting edge in branding, and I’m looking forward to pushing that even further.” Before joining FutureBrand, Rosentreter led Siegel+Gale’s global brand strategy practice and was later responsible for all global client relationships. He brings with him more than 14 years of experience in strategic brand consulting, including American Express, Bloomberg, GE, Ingersoll Rand, Lufthansa, LyondellBasell, Motorola, The Nature Conservancy, Panasonic, PricewaterhouseCoopers, SAP, Time Warner Cable and UNICEF. Before working at Siegel+Gale, Rosentreter was a senior brand consultant at Wolff Olins’ New York and London offices.
Seger will lead the creative practice for FutureBrand’s North American markets. He has worked at FutureBrand before, so this is a homecoming for him. Prior to rejoining FutureBrand, Sven was Siegel+Gale’s Worldwide Executive Creative Director with responsibility for the global design group. He has more than 19 years of experience creating visual identities for global brands, such as Bacardi, Pfizer, Four Seasons, Yahoo!, Microsoft, Sony PlayStation, UPS, American Express, Aflac and the YMCA. He said of this move, “I’m looking forward to returning to the company that had such a huge influence on my creative growth.”
Smith continues, “The timing is perfect for us. After a year of conservatism, the market is becoming more entrepreneurial. Brands are prepared to do things differently, and we want to give them what they need to move forward by focusing on brand innovation.”
This latest set of hires fits with Smith’s plan to build a team of people at the top of their game—a team that can genuinely add value to the FutureBrand offer. These additions follow the hiring of Pete Hollingsworth, Creative Director in the UK and Chris Nurko, Chairman Worldwide.
The team started with FutureBrand North America on 15 March 2010 and is based in the New York office.
