FutureBrand appoints worldwide Chief Digital Officer

FutureBrand the global brand and innovation consultancy has appointed Tom Adams to the role of Chief Digital Officer. The newly created role has global responsibility and reflects FutureBrand’s ongoing commitment to cutting edge digital thinking across its practice. Adams, who was a co-founder of pioneering digital agency Mook and most recently European Head of Strategy at SapientNitro, is based on London and reports directly to global CEO Patrick Smith and Chairman Christopher Nurko. His initial priority will be to evolve the consultancy’s intellectual property, consulting tools and processes with a focus on social technologies.

As Chief Digital Officer, Tom will help to shift the role for digital thinking away from design communications towards a more consultative practice – considering the application of crowd intelligence, open innovation and co-creation in brand and business strategy.
