Bernard Stringer appointed Consulting Director of FutureBrand Singapore
Bernard Stringer has joined FutureBrand, a leading brand strategy firm, to head the consulting practice in Southeast Asia. Bernard reports to Gavin Coombes, CEO of Asia Pacific, and operates out of the Singapore office.
Coombes said, “Bernard has extensive experience in working across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the USA. With 13 years of private and public sector experience in leading teams to drive strategic thinking, build brands and deliver growth, Bernard will a major force behind FutureBrand’s expanding strategy offering.”
Prior to joining FutureBrand, Bernard was General Manager of Marketing and Brand Development at the BW Group, the world’s largest privately owned maritime business. In this role, he led the recently merged group through a full re-branding and integration program. Before this, he had seven years of strategy consulting working for a diverse set of clients ranging from GSK and Nestle to Toys’R'Us and B&Q to Shell and Areva.
Since joining FutureBrand, Bernard said, “In my experience many businesses see branding first and foremost as marketing, and therefore completely separate from business strategy. Also, many great business strategies fail through poor execution.
