With private labels pharmacies could optimize their business through crisis periods.
Supermarkets are known by offering private labels to their clients yet pharmacies/ drugstores haven’t really explored this territory. Gabriel Badagnani, FutureBrand´s director, thinks that the pharmacy business has a good chance to grow during a crisis period by implementing their own private labels. In order to do this, the executive should develop a 3 action plan:
- Create a program that would generate brands with an attractive added value such as Alliance Boots and Walgreens.
- Reinforce the pharmaceutical’s role by training them not only about the different products but also on how to assist clients, this way you can generate a correspondence between the best price and an expert’s guidance.
- Demand the suppliers the best quality of products in order to be able to compete in the market with the category’s leader products because it is important to communicate that it is not only about getting a good price it is also about getting a great product.
